Privacy Policy

Beatrx is designed to be private by default. This policy explains what the app does — and does not do — with your information, and separately how this website works.
The short version
Beatrx does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
What data the app stores
When you complete a practice session, the app saves a record on your device only, in the app's private storage. A record may include:
- Session settings (tempo, meter, sound, mode, length)
- Timing results (average deviation, accuracy, streaks, tap counts)
- Date and time of the session
- Any optional tags or notes you choose to add
- A short coaching note generated on your device
This information never leaves your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else.
No collection, no tracking
- The app makes no network requests and contains no analytics or advertising SDKs.
- The app does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across apps or websites.
- There are no user accounts and no sign-in.
On-device intelligence
The short coaching notes shown after a session and in History are generated entirely on your device. On supported hardware they use Apple Intelligence (Apple's on-device foundation models); on other devices a built-in summary does the same job. Your session data is not sent to any server or third-party AI service to produce these notes.
Microphone, health, and location
Beatrx does not access the microphone, HealthKit, Motion & Fitness, your location, contacts, photos, or any other personal data source.
Children
Because the app collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children. We do not knowingly gather information from children, consistent with COPPA and the GDPR.
Your control over your data
Your data lives only on your device. You can delete an individual session from its detail screen, or remove everything at once from About → "Clear all history." Deleting the app removes all stored sessions.
This website
The app and this website are separate. Everything above describes the app, which still collects nothing. This section covers beatrx.app.
We use Google Analytics to count visits, so we can see which pages are useful and which are not. You are asked first. Until you choose "Allow", Google Analytics stores nothing on your device — no analytics cookies are set. If you decline, it stays that way.
When you do allow it, Google Analytics records the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are (from your IP address, which is anonymised), your browser and device type, and which site or link sent you here. We also record when someone taps an App Store or Google Play button, so we know whether the site is doing its job. We use this only in aggregate; it is never linked to you by name, and there is no advertising or cross-site tracking on this site.
None of this touches your practice data. Your sessions live in the app on your device and are never uploaded, whatever you choose here.
To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser and the choice will be asked again. Your theme preference (light or dark), if you set one, is stored only in your own browser. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may see your browser's standard request information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
